Sophomore Poem The Sophomores live in Winkie land, A wild, uproarious, carefree band! The planners of escapades are Lee, Lanie and Linda, While the rest of Third Floor hangs out of the windag Celeste tries madly to straighten her hair, And Tilda of her figure takes very great care, Frances and Marty are not the same size, Emmy waits by the phone with wild hope in her eyes, Pussy, Ceci and Prissy can never keep quiet, And Bobbie talks constantly of her new diet, Where you see Atwood-Chapman will be. For they are as close as two pods in a pea, Millie Coe's upsweep is the envy of all, Not to mention our yen for Sarah Sutherland's drawl, But maybe we'd rather have the continental touch, Example: Rosie and Nat, with a surplus of such, Rizik and Iohnson make quite a pair, For Renee is as dark as Susie is fair, We all are kept laughing by I. Babcock's cracks, And Harriet tBritiannical gives out with the facts. Cookie sings loudly, filling East with her song. And Lanie Grasselli tells tales that are long, Ereddie's peroxide glows in the dark, Iudy Kirby's as jumpy as a live wire spark. Carrot-tops both are Haddow and Nan. Ianie's two dimples would lure any man, We go to the stables, and see Davies, D. As she leaps fences with Schermerhorn, She. A bouncy sort of person is Dottie Ball, tpunl And Maria in art class is the wonder of all, Comly, and Piggott do handstands galore. Or angels, supported by Mimsy Moore, Lisa and Ginny come from places far away. Class dramatic, talents's furnished by Grasselli, I. Peck renders Handel, much to our surprise. And Marcy looks on, with admiration in her eyes. Alexander and Kholmier ride round the ring. Dagne makes a basket with one gigantic spring, Boysen's guite partial to a certain boy named B. Kerwin and Watson jitterbugging is something you ought to see Every day Iulie Merrill is the last to board the bus. Hamilton gets all A's, and sometimes even A plus, Nancy's rivaled by Fluffy, who works hard all the time. Ebel's devoted to her family tThere's beaucoup of it you'11 find,l Stewart dresses in dirndils and in them looks quite chic, Look for Susie Saltonstall if a sense of humor you seek, The great leader of the Winkies is Simmons, S.
