The girls finished the season with a 9-7 record in league and were fifth in district seeds. The team won the first exciting tournament game against Blanchester but were eliminated from the District Tournament by Fin- neytown who went on to state. They learn how to file, answer the phone, and most impor- tantly how to do word processing. On every desk in ECKHART the C.O.E. room is an Apple Ile computer. The students also use an IBM memorywriter typewriter, a WANG word processor, and dictating machine. The most important training the students receive is the on-the-job training. On the almost rained out evening of June seventh, the class of 1986 gathered for the last time at Madeira High School for their long awaited graduation. Filled with hope for the future and warm memories of the past four years, everyone's mind raced with excitement and anticipation. The Seniors, however, weren,t the only group recognized during the ceremonies. Three teachers, Mr. Effler, Mr. Buchy, and Mr. Budde, along with Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Blough, were spotlighted as well. Remembering the fun and laughter, The problems and the fears, And watching all our memories grow Throughout our high school years. The memories of the dances And the friends that we'we met, Vacations, teachers, talking, And exams we'd rather forget.
