He coaches The football team and The Junior Varsity basketball team to play good games Mr. James Hoebbel B.S. Ed., Miami University; Tenth Grade Adviser. Madeim's latest added attraction, Mr. Hoebbel, teaches history. As our new librarian, he keeps the library in good order. Mrs. Janet Marvin B,A,, Hanover College; Ninth Grade Adviser. Mrs, Marvin has charge of all freshman English classes this year. In her spare time she enjoys mish ing poodles. 22 Mrs. Ann Hern 8A., Central State College of leahomo; Eleventh Grade Ad- vzser. Although Mrs. Hern hasn't been at Madeira too long, she has made a fine impression because of her skill as on English III teacher, She gives meaning and life 10 FTA, which she advises. Mrs. Joan McKee B.Ai, Mount Holyoke College; M. Ed., Xavier University; Eieventh Grade Adviser. Many interesting projects are undertaken in Mrs McKee's his- tory classes. Her influence spreads far as she advises the Junior Council on World Affairs.

Mr. Ernest Combs B.S. Ed., Eastern Kentucky State Teachers College; Ninth Grade Adviser. An untiring worker, Mr. Combs teaches oigebru, general science, and physics. He is respected es- pecially by the members of Hi-Y and the Electronics Club, whom he advises. Mr. Victor Effler A,B.; M.Ed., Xavier University; Tenth Grade Adviser. The English II and Spanish that Mr, Effler imports to his pupils indicates his interest in his work. In addition to this, he is the harried adviser of this year's Mnemonic. Mr. James Dunn B.A., 85, Ed,, Cedarville College; Tenth Grade Adviseri Mr. Dunn teaches algebra l and II and geometry, but he finds Time in his busy schedule to coach the freshman basketball team. Mrs. Frances Elbetfy B.A., Cleveland Art Institute; 85., M.Ed, Miami University. Under Mrs. Elberty's direction, the art students have decorated the school with their posters and have pointed decorations for the Variety Show, 21 Faculty Mr. Charles Hartley B.A., Indiana University; Eleventh Grade Adviser. Mr, Hartley is considered a good friend by the students of Madeira. His chemistry and biology classes are brightened by his humor.

Mr. Medert leads the bond and perfects the music for the many assemblies and the Variety Show that we have throughout the year. Mr. Leslie Voshell B.S. in Ed, Eastern Kentucky State Teachers College; Eleventh Grade Adviser. Our wonderful basketball coach and leader in our school spirit has accomplished fine results in our Sporting activities. Miss Ruth Romano BS, in Ed., University of Cincin- nati; M. Ed., Xavier University; Twelfth Grade Adviser. That business air is about Miss Romano. She is first in typing, first in shorthand, first in assistant counseling, first in the hearts of M. H. 5. students. Mr. Ralph Wright 8.5. in Ed., Ohio State University; Ninth Grade Adviser. Mr. Wright is well liked by his American history and c i v i c 5 classes. Swofford is an inspiration to her students in dress designing, cooking, and homemoking. This fact is shown by the many awards our ciossmates win under her guidance. In Mr. Zarley's industrial arts classes, machines are really under- stood, and the students feel they have profited by his whoiehearted interest in mechanical drawing. University;
