The boys broke even in their eighteen regularly scheduled games and went as far as the quarter-finals in the Hamilton County Class B Basketball Tournament, held at Terrace Park. Getting off to a fast start the Mustang hoopsters won their first three games. They then hit a slump and played slightly less than .SOO ball the remainder of the season. During the course of their schedule Madeira set a new scoring record for the Mustang basketeers when they rolled up 48 points against Anderson. lt was also the first time that Madeira had defeated an Anderson basketball team in ten years! The boys, who participated have now gone on to become better citi- zens and leaders among their comrades, all attesting to the value ot scout training in earlier lite.
