MRS. JANICE MRS. PATRICIA SOSBY 0) BAY) This year’s Faculty Spotlight is focused on two teachers, Mrs Patricia Sosby and Mrs Janice Oliver. Mrs. Sosby has been a member of our faculty for five years in Social Studies Mrs Oliver has been with us for eight years in Mathematics Both have given tremendous amounts of time, love. and dedication to Macon County High through planning for Student Council. Junior Senior Prom, and Homecoming activities Together as a team, they have accomplished much, and it gives us a great pleasure to honor these fine teachers in the BULLDOG ‘85 Spotlight

Star Student The Star Student Award, given annually by the Georgia Chamber of Commerce is awarded to the senior scoring person must also be in the top ten percent of the graduating class. Cam’s records included not only high academic standards, but an interest in the whole school program. This young woman plans to attend Georgia Tech and major in engineering. Cam chose Mrs Mary Ann Jones as her star teacher, because of the great influence she has had on her education and dedication she feels for the job Mrs. Mary Ann Jones, a MCHS alumni, has been teaching eleven years. She has received degrees from GA. Southwestern including a BS in Education with majors in physics and mathematics, and a MS in Education with a major in mathematics. In 1979, she participated in a DOE Energy Workshop at North Georgia College, and in 1985 attended a Workshop for Math Teachers at GA Southwestern. She has been statistician for the basketball teams, cheerleader sponsor, and is currently advisor for the National Honor Society. Her teaching schedule includes Algebra II, Geometry, and Physical Science. “‘Being chosen by Cam is a real thrill.
