For years “Dr. Tom” has been a familiar figure at all campus athletic events. Since the varsity football program began in 1961, he has not been known to miss a home game. First on the field in the case of injury to a player, his is always a comforting presence. Academic and musical accomplishments also receive his recognition and serious appreciation. Practicing physician, city councilman, involved and effective citizen, Dr. Adams is aptly described in the words of Shakespeare “His life is gentle and the elements so mix’d in him that Nature might stand up and say to all the world, ‘This is a Man’!” In good hands! “Dr. Tom” is always Where The action is.
