DEDICA TION Mr. Theodore Nissen It is the pleasure of the Class of i957 to dedicate its Craftsman to Mr. Theodore Nissen, Sheet Metal instructor. Mr. Nissen is retiring this June upon the completion of thirty-four years as a vocational education teacher. lt is noteworthy to report that Mr. Nissen has been recognized as a fine craftsman in his field. In addition to his outstanding record of training students in Sheet Metal, our sub- iect has always taken pride in and has received much satisfaction from seeing his students obtain fine positions in their chosen vocation. A native of Lime City, Ohio, Mr. Nissen attended Woodward Tech, the University of Toledo, and The Ohio State University. Before becoming a teacher in Toledo, he was employed by the Wheeling and Lake Erie Railroad and by the Matthews Boat Company of Port Clinton. ln addition to his family responsibilities and civic duties, Mr. Nissen found time and interest to become a Thirty-second Degree Mason. He is a member and Past Master of Yondota Lodge No. 572, F. 8. A. M. Mr. Nissen's helpmate has been his wife Amelia. They are the parents of four children and they have ten grandchildren. Best wishes to you, Mr. Nissen, and may your heart be kept young by the devotion of your grandchildren, and your life more en- ioyable by the play of trout and bass at the end of your favorite fishing line.

SUPERINTENDENT or scHooLs The doors of Macomber Vocational High School were opened for the first time in September, 1938. Since then hundreds of young men have passed through its portals. Macomber graduates and other former Macomber students now occupy important positions in the field of industry both in Toledo and other cities throughout the country. To be a graduate of Macomber is a mark of distinction. Students, past and present, have been a credit to the school. The educational standing of any school is determined by the quality of its faculty and student body. ln these respects Macomber has alwoys been a school of high rating. My best wishes to the members of the class of i957 and all other students of Macomber for their future success and happiness. E. L. Bowsher E. L.
