77671. S. 71 l?57 MACOMB HIGH'S 1957 HOMECOIVIING got in- to full swing Thursday night, October 17th, with the bonfire, pep talks, announcement of royalty, and the snake dance. On Friday aft- ernoon one of M. H. S.'s best parades rounded the square. Friday night was the game featur- ing a wonderful half time show which was pre- sented by the marching band. Following the game was the annual dance in the new gym- nasium. T h e students and Alumni danced to the music of the Bo Iaxs and later in the evening witnessed the corona- tion of the king and queen and their court. Tha Principal ,uirvs a pup talk. M. H. S. WAS ONCE MORE TRANSFORMED into a mini- ature Dogpatch. Love and the pursuit of nuptial bliss reigned as king on the annual observance of Sadie Haw- kins Day on November 19th. Following an afternoon as- sembly where various M. H. S. teachers portrayed char- acters straight from A1 Capp's cartoon column, boys were on their own against 234 spinister girls. The evening was highlighted by the Sadie Hawkins Dance in the old gym with the dance bands of both M. H. S. and Beards- town providing the music. Sadie Hawkins Day was a project of the band.
