D. Watts, and Mrs, Leroy Neelly. The biggest money-making project for the year was our FHA mother-daughter basketball tourney. It was held in the evenings of November 23 and 24 and proved quite successful with a profit of Sl il. h l h fld a formal FHA dance. Jackie Widell and Herb Cooper were elected FHA At the beginning of the sc OO year we s queen and king by eharging each voter a penny a vote. Activities ofthe spring season included our WPA fwonien-pay-allj clay, This day every girl had to ask the boy for the date, and the irls paid all the expenses g . Our FHA achievement night was held in May, with the presentation of honor awards a style review, and a tea being the iiiain features for the evening. Besides our local activities, we were represented at a state meeting at 'l opeka, a district meeting in Dodge City, and a district election of officers. With our work and worship welhave good times. In October, we Y-Teen girls had a slumber party in the high-school gymnasium. This slumber party, as you have probably guessed, was a slumberless party, but everyone present seemed to have a wonderful time, including our sponsors from the YWCA, Christmas Iiftle again brought forth our annual Mother-Daughter banquet. It was held in the Christian church and was served by a number of lad.es belonging to the church. To end the hanquel evening, the mystery lllUIllCl'4 exchanged gifts with their Y-'li-:n daughtcrs. They won firsts in both the Coldwater Relays and the Hutchinson Regional, and rang some bang-up seconds at Kinsley, Cimarron and Satanta. At Hutchinson they broke the meet record in the medley.
