INTRODUCTION Welve spent four years within these walls, We've hurried and scurried through these halls, We've made new friends and kept the old, We've walked like sheep safe in the fold. But now we face another life Of golden glory or savage strife, For well we know that some will find Success and leave the others behind, Who can't quite seem to make the grade, And, consequently, whose stars must fade. Each one will rap upon the door Of opportunity, and, as of yore, A few will pass, a few will stay, But all will journey life's treacherous way And follow the destiny which, today, Is kept from our sight so far away. We bid farewell and breathe a prayer To meet again someday somewhere. MARYN A. MILLER l4l

DEDICATION THE SENIOR CLASS takes great pleasure in dedicating this issue of the Fabella to those who are most responsible for making it possible for us to have completed successfully four years in William MacFarland High School. It is they who have given us courage to go forward, helping to make our high school days too precious to be forgotten. We, with eyes set toward unknown and untried heights, must follow on trying to prove that by our fruits, they shall know us. When asking them for a light that we may tread safely into the unknown, their sincere advice has been always inspirational. To them, we, who are now standing on the threshold of a new career, hope to prove that we are worthy of the confidence that they so unsellishly have placed in us during the past years. And so, as a token of our thankfulness and appreciation, we are happy to dedicate this twenty- ninth edition of our HIGH SCHOOL ANNUAL to OUR PARENTS. l5l
