Volunteer help given by other interested students was also valuable in meeting the tight schedule. Under Mr. Douglas Hatfield's competent direction and with Mr. Harvey Iurikls excellent set and costume designs and tech- nical supervision, the troupe worked as a team to produce a performance of which they could be proud. From the Cave to the Cagev was the theme of their annual open house, which followed history from prehistoric times, through the dark ages, the prohibition era, up to the time of go-go girls. The future homemakers of America. Summit House Summit House, two adjoining houses on Summit Avenue, is more like a home than a dormitory. Considered off-campus housing, it houses forty girls and is headed by a student resident. Most activi- ties are intra-dorm, although the girls are also very active in campus activities. Our Leader Community Council The Structure of the Community Council was somewhat changed this year with the formation of the Program Board. The purpose of the board is to coordinate campus activities. Headed by the CC vice-president, the group consists of chairmen of various committees which in turn handle activities of groups which fall into their respective categories. Also established this year was the Residence Hall Policy Council. As the name indicates, this group will concern itself with policies of all the residence halls. Dorm presidents and Deans Kramer, Lund, and Whipple compose the committee, which is headed by a member of the Adminis- trative Functions committee. This spring the campus blossomed with posters as the campaigning be- gan for next yearis offices. Track At midseason it appears that Mac's outstanding track team will continue its dom- inance over the MIAC. They are aiming for their ninth straight championship. Coach Doug Bolstorff feels this team could surpass any other of his eight con- ference championship teams. Mac's relay teams have been setting a record pace this season. By mid-April they had broken both the mile and 440 relay records. The longer distances also had their share of excellent runners, although they missed veterans Dave Iohnson and Kevin Beardsley who were unable to run be- cause of injuries. The half milers were led by freshman Dave Hodge, who bet- tered the conference records. Milers Bob WVitcraft, Al Cibas, and jerry Steiner also surpassed conference mile and 2-mile records. The tearnls versatility, depth and speed all point to another successful season. KRW sw L K .Jxfy K Mike Dungan and Walt Kress move toward a baton hand-off in a relay race. The clocks keep ticking, and time keeps moving on. Time has brought transition to us allg to some subtly, to others with a startling effect. To live is to change and to bend with Time. Maybe the year has been used well, or may- be it is merely down the drainf, But in either case, it is gone. We will never again be the people We were this year-but perhaps this book, a campus collage has captured what was. Perhaps, in its own small way, it has stopped the ticking of the clocks.
