Phi Beta Fraternity May 5, 1912 Founders 9 -me CLADYS BURNSIDE STREISSGUTH, '14 ETSIE SCHULTZ THEDAKER, 14 JOSEPHINE MACK AUGIISTIN, 14- it il? it CREED OF PHI BETA We, the members of the Phi Beta Fra- ternity of Music and Dramatic Art, do herein express reverence and love for these, the beautiful teachings of our Sisterhood, and a belief that they will carry us on- ward to final attainment of a life well lived and a goal honorably attained: 1. To promote the best in music and drama. We believe that it is not given to each of us to be a genius, but we do believe that whatever talent we possess has been given to us only that we may develop it to the utmost and use it for the preservation of the highest artistic standards. 2, To live a life of service. There is no joy so great as that which comes from working zealously at a genuinely worth- while task. What we put into life-just that much is returned to us, and no more. 3. To seek and develop the highest type of womanhood. Herein we strive never to stoop to snobbery of word or actiong to look for that outward attractiveness which is the reflection of an inner beautyg to keep constantly before us the greatest at- tribute of true womanhood - Sincerityg and to hold fast to Truth and the Beauti- ful Things of Life. Catherine S tmson Holden, Alpha sir it wiv 1961-1962 Rho chapter of Phi Beta Professional Sorority. U v The Phi Beta presented their convocation on January 30, 1962.
