A. A. COUNCIL Back Row: Mary Ann Kopp, Anne Northrup, Susan Aylward, Barbara Danielson. FTOIU Row: Kathy Paige, Penny Steketee, Lee Burbank. Hockey, soccer, basketball, volleyball, softball and tennis were the varsity sports this year. While gymnastics, ping pong and badminton were the individual sports. The purpose of the Athletic Association is to promote athletic interest throughout the school and to increase the athletic ability of each student. The team captains were very active in the struggle for the cup this year. The Red Team captain is Sue Aylward and the Blue Team captain is lVlaryAnne Kopp. These two girls encourage their teams to contribute to the March of Dimes and also to fur- ther the spirit of the school towards athletics. The president of the A. A. Council is Penny Steketeeg secretary-treasurer, Bar- bara Danielsong vice-president, Ann Northrupg Freshman Representative, Lee Bur- bank, and Junior School Representative, Kathy Paige. We were very fortunate this year to gain a much larger hockey field, two new tennis courts, and a horse and rings for gymnastics, to aid our program. We owe much for our success to our very enthusiastic teachers, Miss Wellington and Mrs. Huss. P, S,

The Student Council at lVlacDuHie is composed of eleven prefects, nine represen- tatives from the various classes, and a president elected hy the school. The council holds weekly meetings Without any faculty memlxer present and supervises the schoolis disciplinary system, handling all hut the more serious problems. The Student Council also writes to lVlacDuflie7s foster child, Joanna Xyla, and administers the funds for her support. The president this year was Connie Hopkins. The hoarding prefects were Anne Vail, Laurie Scott, Patricia Olcott, Barbara Wyckoff, Marcia Baylock, .THCQUCHHG Rector, Catherine Hinge, and Lyn Carter. Nancy Donnis, Jane Thomee, Hnd CHTOHUC Russell served as day prefects. Representing their classes were Chris Nims and Judith Downey, seniors, Carla Tolerton and Linda Lane, juniors, Lesley GUW011 and Susan Macmillan, sophomoresg Anne Collyer and Linda Curtis, freshmeng and Anne Mc- Ewen, junior school. Under the direction of Leaders Corps, the school has enjoyed many dances ,par- ties and other activities. In addition to decorating for the animal Christmas Bazaar, the Club also conducted Heart Sister Week and other events. The purpose of this Club is to acquaint its members with responsibility and leadership. The officers for this year were Terry Wliite, President, and Pam VanZandt, Sec- retary-Treasurer.
