The Current Events Club was made up of girls interested in the World around them. Through discussion and debate, a better understanding of current events was reached. To attain this goal, the Club planned to put on a debate on a timely topic: Re- solved, that Berlin should be defended, even at the cost of war. Following this, we planned to have speakers and films on topics of current interest. At the Christmas Bazaar, the Current Events Club conducted a raflle. Luring packages were displayed, and chances costing ten cents were offered. Drawings on them every half-hour resulted in many happy winners and much money. The Club,s officers this year were Jenny Rhoads, President, Carole ,lofi-e, Vice President and Mary Ann Kopp, S6Cretary-Treasurer. Our advisor, as in past yes: was Miss Theo-,lean Heald. BL
