The Leaders' Corps, now in ils lhird year of exisrence, is a group of Twelve girls, chosen by rhe iaculiy and sludenl' body 'ro plan and manage rhe school pa rlies. This year The corps consisls of Nancy Brodeur, Pairicia Dunn, Gwen Saunders, Nancy Vail, Rue Forsland, and Polly l-luggan,-old members: and Belly Thomas, Margol Fisher, Nancy Gould, Judifh Hill, Suzanne Judd and Alice Marshall, who were admiifed in 'rhe fall a+ a pariy during which fhey fried our for The corps. Wilh Pai Dunn as president Nan Vail, secrefary-ireasurer, and Miss LiHle as faculfy advisor fhe Leaders' Corps has planned many excelleni parries ihis yea r, including 'llfB Halloween, Chrisfmas, and l-learf Sisfer parries. This is lhe lirsl year +ha+ we have had a French Club. ll cer+ainly has been helpful 'ro lhe French sludenls, because under Miss Yeranian's leadership, we are given a chance 'ro speak, play, and read in French. A+ lhe club's firsl meeling, Nancy Brodeur was elecled president Eve Marie Bourquin was chosen as secrelary-lreasurer, and Polly l-luggan was elecled chairman of lhe Program Commilfee. The club is open lo members of second, lhird, and lourlh year French classes. A+ every meeling, There is some main ac+ivi'ry planned, such as a play, or a spelling bee, and we usually learn a few French songs. We have already had 'rwo parries, one al Chrislmas lime and one al our Valenline meeling. Plans 'for a picnic for our final meeling are being formulaled now. During The fall lerm, ihe members elecled Barbara Moore secreiary and Doroihy Slevens Treasurer lo help Polly wi'rh her dulies. A greally soughi-afier opporlunily was lhe 'fry-ou'r, held 'ro selecl lh ose eligible for The club. Thus, we grew +o a grand 'roial of 'rhirly-seven members. Wi+l1 The coaching oi Miss Lilile, our club advisor, and Miss Rice, we made 'Eager l-lear+, our iradilional Chrislmas play, an oulslanding evenl in The season's acliviiies. During February, we had lhe annual Variefy Show, in which a greai deal of new ialeni, as well as old, was displayed. April broughl us five delighlful one-acl plays, wrilien by members of The Junior Class.
