As prefecls, Shirley Edwards and Margol Fisher received honorary membership. The represenlalion on lhe Sludenl Council was changed lhis year, each class vofing for one day sludenl and one boarder. This was done in order lo regulale lhe ralio of day sludenls and boarders on lhe council, so lhal fhe enlire school would be equally repre- senfed. In lhe fall, Belly Thomas, Polly l-luggan, and Nan Vail allended a sfudenl' council conference al lhe Oxford School for Girls in l-larlford, Conn. Siudenl Council represenlalives were presenl from all of lhe privale girls' schools in lhe Conneclicul Valley region. lnleresling discussions were held concerning lhe relalionship of fhe Sludenl Council 'ro lhe various phases of school life. ln comparing our s+uden+ council wi+h olhers, we found lhai we were given rhe grealesl power in governing our school-a power, which we have 'fried lo use wisely and beneficially for lhe good of lhe school.
