Each day was proclaimed as follows: Monday- Ribbon Unity Day to show uni- fied support for the United States Government: Tuesday- Flag Day to show support for the Ameri- can Hostages being held in Iran: Wednesday- Save aA Gallon Day to save energy to allow for the Iran- ian Oil that President Jimmy Carter refused to buy as long as,the hostages were held: Thursday- Write on American Day a petition was signed by the stu- dents and, after the three Lawton High School Presi- dents presented the petitions to Mayor Wayne Gil- ley, the petitions were sent to President Carter to show our support for the government's efforts: Fri- day- Red, White, 81 Blue Day was designed for all students to wear red, white, and blue clothing to show support of the American Government.
