Each day was proclaimed as follows: Monday- Ribbon Unity Day to show uni- fied support for the United States Government: Tuesday- Flag Day to show support for the Ameri- can Hostages being held in Iran: Wednesday- Save aA Gallon Day to save energy to allow for the Iran- ian Oil that President Jimmy Carter refused to buy as long as,the hostages were held: Thursday- Write on American Day a petition was signed by the stu- dents and, after the three Lawton High School Presi- dents presented the petitions to Mayor Wayne Gil- ley, the petitions were sent to President Carter to show our support for the government's efforts: Fri- day- Red, White, 81 Blue Day was designed for all students to wear red, white, and blue clothing to show support of the American Government. The MacArthur High School Yearbook Staff would like to thank the following people for their contributions to the year- book: Jeff Dixon and Danny Martin- Law- ton Constitution for some of the sports photographs: Nichol's Studio for club and homecoming pictures: John Clark - Year- book Representative: Steve Ramos and Mary Elam-Contributing photographers: Our Album's Financial Supporters: and Mr. Jerry Evers-Our Sponsor. In order to sell these books at 58.00 each and to cover additional ex- penses, we had to sell approximately 33,300 worth of advertising.
