102 Organizations T D LLAS CGXNBOYS if On Sept. 30 1979 the three Lawton High School Bands and Pom Pom Teams MHS LHS 81 EHS along with Cameron University s Band traveled to Texas Stadium in Dallas to perform before 68 000 COW- BOY Fans. The combined bands totaling over 700 presented the the coordinator and Cameron Band Director had the members form the shapes of a teepee covered wagon shotgun and a piecepipe. The halftime was not the only sign of Outstanding Teamwork as the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Cincinnatti Bengals 38-13. September 30 was proclaimed Lawton Day in Dallas for 1979! halftime extravaganza How the West Was Won! Dr. Jack Bowman, Yearbook artist Ned Babb scetched this picture while watching a Dallas football game on television. Relaxing before the halftime rehearsal are: L. to R.: Cindy Crow, Luwana Campbell, and Cindy Phillips.
