Dear Graduates: ln the 1920's the college flapper had a brief moment of popularity. Now, in 1950, it is the high school teen-ager upon whom attention is focused. Never before have our young people been given so much genuine respect. Adults have made a serious effort to understand their point of view and to shape the better world that these young people are demanding. This brings a great responsibility to you who are now leaving high school. As gradu- ates you will be expected to work without discouragement to help build the kind of world you have talked about and which you long for. Your school has prepared you well for this. In your trade and academic training you have learned how to be self-supporting citizens, appreciative of the American code of living. Remember the ideals of your teen years and find some place in your com- munity where you can help turn them into realities. Today, your teachers and l congratulate you and wish you success in the years ahead. Sincerely, MARY Q. CASSIDY Principal
