He never learned to walk, only run And not to whisper, but only shout Be quiet'' I'd say. but it didn't last long I'd take that from no other boy But my little boy Shawn He'd take my tools out of my shop And never put them back But then what good is a broken tool That's been put back on the rack He always had a project going Which covered the basement floor And then a friend would call to play The mess forgotten as he hurried out the door But never mind boys were few Like my young little Shawn. I sometimes think I shall go mad With such a crazy boy And wish once more I could rest And quiet times enjoy But when he is asleep in bed. So beautiful and so blonde I pray the Lord take anything” But leave my Little Shawn. But now I have a Little Man” As mean as ever before He sneaks and smokes and makes me cry But I couldn't love him more He screams at me and calls my bluff. And then the rage is gone And standing with a sorrowful look Will be my “Little Man” Shawn. We, the class of 1983, have completed our sec- ond year at Sheehan High. We have two more years at this school and then we will be on our own. This past year we had many fund raising activi- ties such as a car wash and a Powder Puff pancake breakfast. We came up with a new decal design and it sold really well. We must be patient with ourselves, grow in our own ways and in our own time. Our time is now. We must not look in the past or in the future but, just in the present. Time flies, but remember you’re the driver, so LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL . . . 132 136 137 Freshmen 139 ADVISORS AND OFFICERS Freshman Advisors — Mrs. Petrin. Miss Mascia. Each program pits top students from two high schools against each other in a quiz show format. The questions are challenging and drawn from a wide range of subject areas. For the second consecutive year, M. T. Sheehan High School has accepted an invitation to enter a team. This year’s team includes captain Rob Goodrich, John Marczewski, Steve Rog- ers, David Legge, Fred Rutcho and Tass Shreve. The group is coached by Mrs. Joan Mannion. In their first match, Sheehan faced last year’s state champion, Amity High School. In a dramatic game, the Sheehan team pulled off an upset victory winning by a score of 220 to 215 points. The Titans now go on to meet other area high schools and hopefully advance toward the state finals. 166 COMPETES N OL BOWL 167 DECA Seated — Debbie Augusta. Dawn Barbera.
