Walkin down faster walkin with the master of time 3 Your a fine one timer, You,got me walkin through the gates of space Baby I’m not tryin to talk you down But I could walk through them doors On to a better ground s It was sweet and sunny a pleasure ground Didn’t know about money Didn’t know about timer Did not know about timer So let the wind blow timer let the wind blow timer. And if the song goes minor I won’t mind. 12 Timer knows the lady's gonna love again, Timer knows the lady rambles never more. Freshmen “Class of 75” BACK: Susan Carsten, Abbie Black. Sheehan High School Dramatics Society was founded in the beginning of the 1971-1972 school year by a small group of interested students. It was formed to provide Wallingford’s new high school with a cultural outlet for talented students. The students, along with their advisor, Mr. Couillard, have presented three performances during the year. They were A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Absense of A Cello, and Summer Tree. The Dramatic Society operates on a voluntary basis with much suc- cess. The group has been accepted as a chapter of The International Thespian Society. 54 “Summertree” “Summertree” is the first play written by the young playwrite Ron Cowen. It was initially presented at the Eugene O’Neill Memorial Theatre Foundation in Waterford, Connecticut, in 1967. A film version of the play is also being written. The Dramatic Society of Sheehan presented the play before an audience in May. “The Absence Of A Cello” The Sheehan Dramatic Society lent its aid to the Senior Class in order to present the production of “The Absence of a Cello . The play was directed by the Sheehan Dra- matics Society advisor, Robert Couillard and was presented on March 3 and 4. 55 99 joiunf Prom Mark T. Superintendent of Schools Mr. John Price B.A., M.A. Asst. Superintendent of Schools PRINCIPAL MR. PA UL MA RIANELLA Principals Address In September, 1971, you, the first graduating class entered the new Mark T. Sheehan High School. I am well of the anxieties you shared as you made this move. While your tenure was brief, your class contributed much to establishing an identity for Wallingford’s first west side high school. The society into which you now graduate searches for the kind of leadership that you can pro- vide. You will be challanged by the complex problems ahead. You are, however, well-equipped to help develop calmly thought-out solutions. Remember the school’s motto, We seek to serve humanity. It was adopted with the hope that Sheehan High School Student will strive to emulate the life led by the man whose name honors our school. We will follow your careers with pride and interest in your achievements. On behalf of the faculty, I congratulate you and wish you well in the future. Paul Marianella 75 MR. THOMAS GERSZ ASST. PRINCIPAL MR. WILLIAM WHITE ASST. PRINCIPAL 76 We the seniors, the first graduating class of the new west side high school, Mark T. Sheehan, have seen fit to dedicate our yearbook to one of our classmates. Diane Arrato, our Senior Class president, has accomplished more in her one year than we ever hoped. Diane took the entire roll upon herself, and turned it into success. Along with carrying the load of an honors student she unselfish- ly dedicated her year to our class. The editor of the yearbook, and I am cer- tain the entire class wishes to thank Diane.
