Stan combined a talent for acting with his skill for storytelling in his well known and lengthy oral reports. Many times he brightened up our classes with his hilarious remarks and antics. He showed his serious side on the basketball court, being one of the top rebounders for the PREPPERS. Knowing Stan to be a determined and hard worker, we- are sure he will be successful in whatever he does. JOHN SMITH Captain Basketball 33 Manager 45 Baseball 3-45 Photo 4g Modeling 33 Varsity 4g Dramatics Club 4. Coming to M.M.l. as a junior, .lack established himself as one of the boys. His thoughtfulness and keen interest has placed him high in the esteem of all his acquaintances. He is an avid supporter of basketball and scorekeeper for the team. One of his favorite delights is driving his 1939 Buick, 'fThe Owl. He is truly a good sport and a genuine friend. MARTIN R. STEFANIK scBurr99 Class Officer 25 Dramatics l-2-33 Press 1-2-3-4g Pep Club 45 Minamek 4. Mart wasted little time in becoming one of the more diligent and popular members of the class after coming from St. Ann's. He is well-known for his female roles in the school plays and was a good basketeer in the intramural league. Marty still finds time to perform his duties as a member of the Freeland Canteen Council. Martin plans to study account- ing, since he is especially adept at math. MICHAEL URICHECK a4Mikess Class Officer 4g Dramatics 3-4g Photo 1-2-3-45 Minamek 4. Mike has shown outstanding ability as one of the most adept photog- raphers ever found in the Camera Club. His knowledge of Beethoven and Mozart has shown his interest in good classical music. In addition, Mike has maintained an extremely high scholastic average throughout his four years here. Mike, who is president of the senior class, will always be remembered as an all-around nice guy.

SENIOR - ANTHONY PITMAN EGTOHYN Basketball 1-2g Baseball 1-2-3-43 Radio 455 Band 1-2. Tony came to M.M.I. as a freshman in 1953. Upon entering he became engaged in many activities ranging from baseball to band. He is known mainly by his shiny black '57 Corvette. Because of a quiet nature, one would believe him to be shy, but he will readily pitch in if there is something new to do. EDWARD RYMSZA, JR. Father Body Building 15 Fish Club 2-3. Ed is the proud possessor of a unique sense of humor and uncanny ability to fit a witty remark into any conceivable situation. Although he is mischievous at times, it is difficult to become angry with him because of his pleasant nature and persistent smile. Father is best known as a close friend of 'LFarley. NICHOLAS SAULLO Big Nick Basketball Manager 2g Fish Club 1-2g Modeling 3. A pleasing personality, a friendly smile, and a talent for- off-the-cuff remarks make diminutive Nick a center of attraction. His tlmelyiobserva- tions and ability in mathematics never failed to amaze us. Seniors will long remember Nick's famous oration on the relative merits of the Fish Club. lf you like fish, or if you don't, join the Tropical Fish Club. Such is Nick-a fine friend and an avid scholar. WlLLtIAM SHERGALIS Shergie - Sugar Class Officer 3-4g Cabinet lg Basketball 1-2-3-4-9 Press 43 Photo 1-2-3-43 Varsity 3-4g Baseball 1-2-3-4. Bill is probobly one of the best liked students in our class. This un- doubtedly stems from his wonderful personality and genial nature. Sugar took time out from studying German to lead the PREPPER cagers and baseball team during his four year stay at M.M.I. He can usually be found at Hazleton Canteen, where he carries on his night life.
