-FACULTY- RALPH E. WHITMER, B.A. Mr. Wbitmer, to the class of 758, is one teacher who not only dealt with problems of democracy, but the problems of the class, individuals, and the school. His enthusiasm was often displayed in the classroom, but for the most part, it was expended as an avid fan of the Preppers. Mr. Whitmer is a fine worker for the community, as shown by his formation of the Wheel Club. We will remember Mr. Whitmer as an able librarian, who could help you find the correct and pertinent information. EDGAR GOWER, B.S. Mr. Gower, our mechanical drawing instructor, is the only teacher to have a regular bus line fhis red and white '58 Chevy station wagonl between school and White Haven. This year he took 'the reins of the PREPPER baseball squad, a sport in which he was a whiz wit.h the Rivertown High School and the White Haven Aces. Whenever we had problems in drawing and consulted Mr. Gower, we were always greeted by a warm and quiet smile and a willingness to give aid. JOHN WITINSKI, B.S. The most recent addition to the teaching staff, Mr. Witinski performed admirably as a physics and mathematics instructor. He could often be seen explaining to an individual pupil the problems of these courses. Characterized by a willingness to work, Mr. Witinski showed great enthusiasm and interest in his efforts to impart knowledge. -cLEaK- Y MISS THELMA FATULA Miss Fatula capably filled the secretary's position left vacant by Miss DeNoia. Her pleasing manner and sincere efforts converted many of our routine days into cheerful ones. Being an alumna of Foster Township, Class of 1953, she proved that our neighboring school can really produce excellent graduates. We are indebted to 'gMiss T for bearing the brunt of the typing for the Minamek. MISS MADLYN DeNOIA I Although her stay at M.M.I. was short, Miss D brightened 1 many of our days with her pleasant smile and witty remarks. She served ably as secretary and was also typing instructor. However, we all liked to think of her as our personal friend and were sorry to see her leave. l was 'j lfth H AP, CHARLES MESMER Little did we realize when school closed last ,lune that we would not be greeted by the beaming face of Charlie on our return to school in September. His departure meant the loss of many moments of fun and relaxation. Fort Howard, Maryland, truly received a fine citizen when Charlie moved there. His efficiency as maintenance engineer was a boon to the operation of the school, and his friendliness endeared him to all. ' DAVID ELLIS A new figure greeted us as we entered school this year. Students soon learned , that his name was Dave, and he was as enjoyable as his predecessor. Mr. Ellis tackled his work with boundless energy, efficiently completing the many tasks assigned to him.
