Several students participated in the cadet teaching program which was started.secomdsemester. The program was designed to give the student a better insight into teaching and prac- tical experience. Mary Jo Olson is shown with her kindergarten class. Hwho has my number?N NNN Pres. This was a busy year'for'the M-F-L chap- ter of the Future Teachers of America. On September 21, three members were elected to district offices at the district con- vention at la.PorteCity: Linda Moon, Vice President: Carol Olson, Secretaryg Joyce Clements, Historian. Dan Schultz was also chosen as a candidate for state treasurer. On November 9, a computer dance was sponsored by the FTA. Because it was the first of its kind given here,a,large crowd attended and enjoyed'their'Upunch-card.part- nersu for the evening. Dan Schultz campaigned for the office of state treasureadzthe Iowa State Univer- sityin Ames on March 2U,MaryJo Engelhardt was his campaign manager. Although Dan's opponent won the office, M-F-L was well represented, Twenty-four students and three teachers traveled toAmeson March 23 to attend the convention.
