WIWISCUU-YCIQ Inspecting the new kitchen equipment are the school board members Cleft to rightjz Marvin Miller, Sup't. A. N. Busse, George Heins, Gilbert Fox, Cmrtis Zieman, Gordon Hanson, William Schlein, and Gordon Schultz. They chart our course These are the men who give their time and effort, without pay, for the betterment of our community and the students. They attend at least one meeting a. month and, if necessary, any special meetings. The board has the primary responsibility for the new addition to our school. Limited in their authority by specific school laws, their role, nevertheless, is that of prodding adequate education for the boys and girls in our school district. They serve a three-year term and represent four areas in our school district. The first officers of the Monona school district, established in 1850, were Jona- than Smith, pres.: T. A. Olmsted, sec.: and H. E. Howe, treas. The first officers of the luana school district were Henry Palas, pres.: and George Engelhardt, sec. Records were not available for the first officers of the Farmersburg school district. The first officers of the M-F-L school district, consolidated in 1962, were Gordon Schultz, pres.: George Heins, sec.: and Gilbert Fox, treas. These men are still serving in this capacity.
