SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY My friend, Alice Meusburger, the former Alice Strain and I were visiting the Aero-View Airport. We decided to rent a special airplane to help us visit our former classmates. It was ten years since we had graduated. I was now manager of the Snyder's Slip and Slide Ballroom in Lytton. I had long since tired of the slogan NEverythings better in Yetteru and had changed it to nEverythings hitten in Lytton.H Alice Meusburger had finished her schooling at the Personnel Training School in Omaha and had married Kenneth Meusburger. They now lived south of Lytton on the farm with Kenny Jr. and little Alice. We hopped in our airplane and headed toward washington, D.C. On the way we saw a big light flashing off and on. We flew down to get a closer view. The sign read HUncle Dave's Restaurant-We serve anything to anyone at anytime. We stopped by to see what the sign meant by the word Hwen. We found David Lohff and Verlyn Scharn workingillthe place. David was chief cook and Verlyn was chief bottle washer. We ate a dinner at their restaurant of fried grasshoppers and chopped seaweed and then left. We flew on to Washington, D.C. We visited we found out that Sandra Oestreich was the first United States. Her cabinet consisted of Mr. Hudson,,Mr. Dale Ball, Mr. Max Mabie, Mr. Bruce and Jim Neppl. She said that shehad chosen some the White House, where woman President of the Albin Alexander, Rock Curtis, Mr. Don Klink, of her former teachers because they had given her such good grades in high school. While we were in Washington, we visited Congress where Senator Larry Williams was giving a speech on nThe Effects of Women in Govern- mentn. We thought this was an appropriate speech because 500 of the 535 members of Congress were women. We hopped in our airplane again and headed for New York City. There we found Shirley Grau playing a concert at Carnegie Hall. She had had her name linked in society columns with Liberace. As we flew over the St. Lawrence Seaway, we waved to Francha Smith who had been supervising the Seaway since she bought it last summer. As we flew over the Atlantic Ocean toward London, England, we saw Nelda Kreft directing the social activities on the ship, Queen Mary. In London we found Leah Patterson, theformer Leah Schultz, repre- senting the United States at the Big Four Summit Conference. With her at the Conference was her husband, Dennis and Dennis Jr. Representing Russia was Khrushchev, Jr. and his wife, the former Virginia Stone. We left London and flew to Paris, France, where we found Mildred Bix owning nMillie's Beauty Salonn. She won a contest which gave her a trip to Paris where she set up her practice. we then returned to the United States, where,we found Doris Jones at Cape Canaveral, Florida. She was to be the first women to travel to the moon. we flew on to New Orleans, where we found Doris Batz singing in a nightclub. The name of the nightclub was HHarold's Nightspotn. She said that she liked this job because she met so many different people. After leaving New Orleans, we flew on to Colorado where we found Karen Kuhrt, the former Karen Patterson, riding in a rodeo. She told us that she was known asUKeep With Them, Karenu because of her expert Brama Bull Hiding. we left Karenandflew on to the salt flats of Utah where we found Arthur Lange testing out his newcwufthat runs on water instead of gas. SENIOR CLASS WILL We, the Senior Class of 1960, do hereby declare this to be our last will and testament. This becomes legal on this day of May 23, 1960, in the town of Lytton, State of Iowa. This is entirely of our own making and we are in no way influenced by the underclassmen who spent most of their noons in Mr. Giles' Study Hall. Don't strain your tonsils, Carol! Shirley Grau wills her laugh to the chicken farm and may the egg production increase. Nelda Kreft willsalJ.of herold boyfriends to Judy Hameister, providing she takes as good care of them as Nelda did. - Arthur Lange wills to Harlan Meyer his ability to sleep in classes for four years and still manage to graduate. You've got a good start, Harlan. David Lohff wills his brains to Dan Casey. If you use them as good as your FEET, you'll go far in this world. Sandra Oestreich wills to Sara Jane Kreft her natural curly hair in place of-Sara's much used curlers. Karen Patterson wills her ability to crackzgunmto Linda Jack- son. With yours and Karen's put together, you might drive every- one crazy, Linda. Mildred Rix and Virginia Stone will their ability to argue with each other on any subject, even though they both know they are wrong, to Kaye Kreft and Marlene Meyer. This will be quite a change, won't it girls? Verlyn Scharn. wills his good looks and butch hair cut to Willy McHugh, thinking it's about time for him to have another one. CRair cut that-is!!D Leah Schultz wills to Harriet Cross her long fingernails so she can defend herself against all guards. CAnd we don't mean basketball guards, Harriet.J Francha Smith wills her ability to write notes during school time and not get caughtixnthe Freshmen girls. with this ability, girls, the noon study hall will be quite bare??? Pat Snyder wills her patience to Mr. Schmidt, who doesn't do so well at times! Alice Strain wills her quietness to Sharon Jackson.
