PROPIIECY The scene is ten years after graduation from dear old Lytton High. The seniors of the class of '56 have gathered for a reunion. Off in a corner, watching the preceedings are two teachers who will remain nameless here. They seem to be carrying on a conversation. So lets evesdrop a little, shall we? Miss X: Hwell I see all the old seniors are back. They have really been going places these last few years. Look there's Senator Dale Greene coming in. I understad that he's on a commission for the proposed use of squirt guns for national defense.H Miss Y: Say isn't that Ron Miller with him? I hear he's a big imP01'fa11T3 designer for General Motors. He was always drawing cars instead of doing school work.H Miss X: HGee, this is interesting to stand around and watch these kids come in. Isn't that the Glasnapp twins coming through the door now? Do you know what they have been doing since graduation? Miss Y: 'Junith is a secretary to that big game hunter, John Hammerhold. I think I'll ask her if she sits on one knee and the rifle on the other. And Janice has become, of all things, a warden in a womens prisonf' Miss X: 'Well,my goodness isn't that Russ Hutchinson and Ellis Byriel stand- ing over by the punch table? I hear Ellis has been making good money in the hot rod business, I guess he won a cup the other dayf' Miss Y: YYes, I heard that too. And hasn't Russ been doing something revol- utionary in the pickle business. I,thought I read the other day that he in- vented a new way to pickle pickles. Miss X: 'Looks like a hen party over there, doesn't it? Isn't that Lois Freese, Ruth Boyd, and Connie Kelley over in the corner? I haven't heard what they've been un to. Do you know? Miss Y: QI hear that Ruth Boyd is the new president of the American Associa- tion for the Advancement of Tiddly-Winks. My, what an interesting job. I think Connie Kelley is the champion bowler of the United States. Heard she bowled 310 the other day, Connie says it wasn't easy even though the experts say it is impossible. Do you remember how shy Lois used to be? Well, she certainly has changed. Now she is a bullfighter in Mexicof' Miss X: 'I heard that the music for tonight is going to be provided by the Rock and Roll Squares. Isn't the bandleader Dean Carlson, and his drummer Duane Peyton, the one who is known as the hottest drummer this side of the Congo? Remember how they used to hate to jitterbug?u H Miss Y: To bad Marlene Cleland couldn't make it tonight. Miss X: 'iYes, it is. Wonder what she's doing now? Miss Y: 'Well, don't tell anybody but there is a rumor around that she is the redheaded wrestler, Tutti Frutti. And did you know that her manager is Glen Barte1s? Miss X: GI wonder why all the girls are crowding around that man over there? Why, isn't that John Everts? Miss Y: 'Say, did you know that he is that famous hair dresser from a New York sggon? H Miss X1 ' Oh, you mean Ze John ? U Miss Y: What I wouldn't give for him to fix my hair. How thrilling. -l Continued on next Page 7' 4.1, xi ,il, f' Glass X V - ' , :fjffiifzf o!5 A V' A L ,Q Q .
