Her unfailing good humor, her deep insight into our problems, and above all, her wonderful spirit and judgment have proved a guiding light to all those who have had the privilege of knowing her. The view from Brainerd and Elm presents a very picturesque scene, conjur- ing up memories of the days when L. T. H. S. was a young school. Students clothed in the accepted manner of the 90's can be seen entering these hal- lowed doors. The campus truly has a wealth of tra- dition of which we are very proud. Miss Homer, who has to record the proceedings of the board meetings, maintains a secretarial calm. The two other members of the board, not in this picture, are Mr. Vaughan and Mr. Hall A GREETING AND A CHALLENGE To 1934, hail! and, let us not say, farewell, for we hope to greet you in the old pleasant places many times. You have the distinction of being thus far the largest class to graduate from L. T. H. S. and I am sure that quality, in this case, accompanies size. Your alma mater is proud of you-for in civic and social consciousness, in scholarship, and in athletic prowess you have been especially distin- guished. You are coming to be part of a society which demands more than your devotion to a chosen career or vocation-a society which needs leaders in the best uses of leisure time. My wish for you is that you may be wise in your use of the gay, the earnest, the stirring, the calm, the casual, and the planned hours of your leisure time. What you become means more than ever to you. THE BOARD OF EDUCATION Action by action, stand by stand, decision by deci sion, you are day by day forming your life pat tern.
