Principals L-CHS HIGH SCHOOL MR. JOSEPH RUTHERFORD is in his second year as building principal at Lyons. He received his Bach- elor and Master Degrees at the University of Toledo. Senior math and American History are the cours- es Mr. Rutherford teaches. CHESTERFIELD GRADE SCHOOL MR. WALTER BATES is in his first year as build- ing principal at Chesterfield Junior High. He has re- ceived his Bachelor and Master Degrees in Education and attended Bowling Green State University. Among his other duties. Mr Bates teaches in- dustrial arts and 7th and 8th grade math. L-CHS GRADE SCHOOL MR. VIRGIL McGLAMERY is in his eighth year as grade principal at Lyons. He teaches spelling, history, and English as well as coach for the girls’ softball team. Along with this he is director of the physical fitness program in the grade school. He received his Master's in Education from Toledo University and his Bachelor of Science from Defiance College. 7

Superintendent OLIVER PIFER Education and the furthering of acadenic prowess have been the ba- sic reasons for the existence of Lyons - Chesterfield High School. The motives for attending school have been to enhance abilities, become more enlightened and to become better citizens of the fu- ture. Lyons-Chesterfield school is presently involved in a consolida- tion for which many changes and innovations of the future are and will be established for the future. Now it will be the duty of the graduates of this school to answer the question Why were we here? It is presumed the basic reasons were for good citizenship and pro- gress toward living a better life. 6
