1954- 1955- CLASS HISTORY 1955 Though this year was not really very successful, profit-wise, the class was dubbed as the Noisy Freshmen. Joe Busco was President and Mr. Buell was the advisor. During the year the class sponsored a bake sale and a record hop. 1956 This year the name was changed to Rowdy Sophomores . The group chose as its President Tom Comella, and as its advisor, Mr. Thurkins. The class sponsored a bake sale and held the Soph Jive of '55. The sale of school pins added to the still lacking treasury. 1956-1957 With Barry Cummings as our President, and Mr. Gould as Advisor, the 1957- class set out for a good Junior year. The two big highlights of the year were selecting our class rings, and the Junior Promg Teahouse of the June Moon. It was also decided that Varden Studios would take our senior pictures and handle our LYONS TALE. 1958 For the climax to all the events, our Senior Year, the class elected .Tim Leisenring as President, with Mr. Gould still acting as Advisor. To start off the year, senior pictures made quite a dent in our pocketbooks. In December, the highlight was the Starlight Ball. A bake sale and a record hop were crowded in before all thought turned to the Senior Trip. To bring this year to an end, that glorious night in June will find a serious place in the hearts of those seniors marching in step to Pomp and Circumstancef' 'I2
