Freshman - Sophomore Football In 1952 the Lyons Freshman-Sophomore Football team didn't have such a successful season as did the varsity. They started the season without much experience and did fairly well under the circumstances. The Sophomores received more help than usual from the Fresh- men. The squad had a lot of determination and never gave up trying. The high scorer of the season was Pat Shaw, who had thirty points to his credit. To all the members of the squad go a great deal of credit for showing up for practice every night and working hard. The boys who saw the most action on the playing field were Dick Bartels, Lester Hawes, Ed I-Ieinsen, Charles Johnson, Bryan Logan, David Lueders, Tom Lyons, Wayne Marx, jerry Marlowe, joe Miller, Clifford Parker, Delmer Potratz, Pat Shaw, Dick Shields, Don Utroska, and Jim Waldorf.
