Boy? 4-H Club The enrollment of the Boys' 4-H Clubs has increased under the leadership of Mr. Heckman from forty-four in 1948 to ninety in i95l, but has declined slightly since. ln 1948, there were no Boys' 4-H Club Charters at Lyons, but that year the completion was high enough that the Sons of the Soil, Sr. Charter was earned. Two years later a second charter for Sons ofthe Soil, Jr. was eamed, plus a seal for the first charter. These two standard clubs of Lyons have participated in all the various county iudging contests, leadership training meetings, and county 4-H shows, winning their share of awards every place they went. Enrollment of T954 is coming lnfnow and proves to be-another bug year Jumor Leaders for T954 will be Nina Ray, Clyde Tlbbett Sherry Leavitt Don Dayhoff Ass t Junior Leader will be Norman Shepherd Student Council This IS the second year for the Student Council at Lyons Hugh School The council memberswere appointed by each class and the senior member was made chairman Phil Mercer was chairman of the Student Council This council was formed with the idea of helping with student student and student teacher relations lt has been very successful as a student government if 58 . .
