CLASS OF I967 On June I5, we, fhe class of I967, will say Sayonara fo our beloved Casfle. We will be leaving our friends, faculfy and all fhe momenfous acfivifies of fhese pasf four years. We realize, however, fhaf we will fake wifh us fhe knowledge and experience acquired from fhe memorable school days af Lynwood High School. Taking fhe big sfep from iunior fo senior high school, we gained much guidance from our firsf class presidenf, Greg Thompson. We saw as Freshmen a new world of learning and social acfivifies. Confribufing fo fradifion of fhe Casfle, we sponsored fhe Sainf Pafrick's Day Dance, Leprechaun Leap. As expecfanf Sophomores, we enfered anofher year af Lynwood under fhe leadership of Greg Lee. For fhe new Freshmen, we sponsored a Freshman Welcome Dance. We greafly boosfed fhe class freasury by selling quarfer pound bars of chocolafe. This money gave us a head- sfarf on esfablishing an adequafe freasury for nexf year's Prom. Wifh profifs in mind again, we sold boosfer ribbons during fhe foofball season. Our year was saddened when fhe friendly, warm figure of Mrs. Kafhryn Doll disappeared from fhe campus. She was a favorife Sopho- more English feacher who helped fhe class and ifs acfivifies. Climaxing our firsf fwo years af Lynwood High School, we ordered our class rings. Presidenf Rod Childress led us fhrough an acfive year as Juniors. Firsf of all, we anxiously received our rings. To sfrengfhen our funds, we confinued selling boosfer ribbons. Displaying an inferesf in fhe campus, we conducfed a clean-up campaign. To climax our fhird year, we sponsored fhe Junior-Senior Prom, A Knighf's Enchanfmenf, held af fhe lnfernafional Hofel af fhe Los Angeles Airporf. Again Rod Childress presided over fhe class acfivifies, fhis fime fo be fhe lasf. As seniors we enfered fhe school year fo enioy fhe privileges reserved for Seniors Only. We were honored fo welcome our foreign exchange sfudenf from Ceylon, Shanfi Wiiearagah. Our lasf Home- coming season was sef off by fhe crowning of fhe I966-I967 queen, radianf Paffy Vesf. We fhen confinued fhe fradifional scene by spon- soring fhe Chrisfmas Dance, Misflefoe Magic. Lafer, fhe All-School Play, Pillow Talk, was presenfed fo fhe sfudenfs, facufy, and parenfs. We were also forfunafe fo enioy a new, special casual day on campus - May Daze. Nexf, fhe Prom fook ifs place as a memorable, eleganf occasion. Finally, we saw fhe beginning of a wonderful week sfarfing wifh fhe fun of fhe Senior Picnic af Irvine Park, confinuing fhrough fhe serenify of Baccalaureafe and Commencemenf, and ending wifh fhe excifemenf of fhe All-Nigh+ Parfy. This week was highlighfed by fhe surprise and fhrill of receiving 'rhe long-awaifed Accolade. Now as we fake a lasf glimpse of Lynwood High School as sfudenfs, we feel much grafifude and respecf for fhe helpful advice we have received from our dedicafed counselors, Mrs. Agnes Jones and Mr. Cliffen Nordgaard. We also fhank fhe enfire faculfy and adminisfrafion for fheir pafience in feaching us. Af fhe end of our Senior year, we, fhe Class of I967, say Sayonara fo all fhe friends and faculfy of four never-fo-be-forgoffen years.
