We realize, however, fhaf we will nof leave empfy-handed since we fake wifh us four years of happy memories and acquired knowledge. Enfering Lynwood High School as Freshmen, we caughf our firsf glimpse of deferminafion and sfamina we would need fo succeed in our high school career. Being fhe largesf class fo enroll al' Lynwood as yef, we looked forward fo fhe challenge and expecfafions fhe fufure held. Our firsf acfivify as freshmen was our floaf, Swifzerland, for fhe lasf Lynwood Homecoming Parade. Wifh Presidenf Mike Sfewarf's guidance we sponsored fhe Sainf Pafrick's Day Dance, and fhen lafer, fhe firsf Freshman Hiiinks. Our firsf year was filled wifh fun, learning, and a whirlwind of new buf excifing acfivifies. As expecfanf sophomores, we enfered our second year of high school wifh Presidenf Jim Lucaforfa presiding. Our firsf official acl' was fo sponsor fhe Freshman Welcome Dance which proved a fabulous success. Then followed our Chrisfmas sale of misflefoe fo increase class funds. We climaxed our sophomore year by ordering our class rings which we all waifed eagerly fo receive. . . Presidenf Mark Rauschenbach pilofed us fhrough our Junior year as we fook our firsf sfep as upperclassmen. Geffing our long-awaifed class rings was fhe firsf order of business. As fhe year progressed, we held a magazine drive. fo boosf fhe class freasury. lf proved very successful. Huge Sugar Daddy suckers and sfuffed animals proved worfhy prizes for able salesmen. The perfecf ending fo fhis perfecf year was May Memories, fhe Junior-Senior Plrom af fhe Infer- nafior:ialdHo+el af fhe Los Angeles Airporf. The evening was anevenfful one for everyone who affen e . Our final year af fhe Casfle was filled wifh all fhe social acfivifies and hurried evenfs con- necfed wifh Senior year. ln Sepfember we gladly fook our places as fhe privileged rulers of Senior Square. Presidenf Sfeve Niefhamer fhen ioined fhe class in welcoming our exchange sfu- denf, from Norway, Geir Tofland. Our lasf Homecoming game and ball were marked by fhe reign of Queen Janef Fell. Misflefoe Magic, fhe Chrisfmas Dance, was fhe highlighf of fhe Yulefide season and fhe Senior-only Masquerade Parfy in March was rousing fun for fhose who affended. Lafer, fhe All-School Play, Our Hearfs Were Young and Gay, provided enferfain- menf for sfudenfs, faculfy, and parenfs alike. The Prom, as usual, was a rememberable occasion for us all. Suddenly Senior week, which we had anxiously awaifed, descended upon us. A+ fhis fime we experienced some of fhe mosf memorable momenfs of our lives. The sacredness of Baccalaurafe, fhe gaiefy of fhe Senior Picnic, fhe liveliness al' fhe All-Nighf Parfy, and fhe ever presenf pomp and circumsfance of Commencemenf are memories we will cherish foriyears fo come. As we, fhe Class of I966, leave fhe Casfle, we also go wifh feelings of grafifude for fhose persons who guided us. fhroughouf four years of learning.
