Lynnhaven has had close games in the past and they will have many more in the fu- ture. Basketball is truly loved by Lynnhaven and is one of its most attended sports. Basketball competition is tense - Etheridge, Vernon Dozier, Karl Thoro. . BLUES BOYS' BASKETBALL and involved. Every year thirty to forty students from seventh, eighth, and ninth grades try out for the basketball team. The try- outs are hard and require much stamina. Everyday students look to see it they have made the final cut. In the end the best players are chosen for the team and play begins for another year. Key factors to being a member of the team are grace, poise, skill, and concentration. The girls compete against other schools at gymnastic meets.
