They were handicapped by having only two returning lettermen from last year, Odeen For- bes and Gene Powers. The team was built around these two boys. Despite inexperience, iniuries, and numerous other problems the team has played good ball, always giving a good account of themselves. Senior Odeen Forbes has led the Lynx scor- ing parade with a neat ll point per game aver- age. Chief assistance in the scoring column was provided by freshman .lim Fleming with a 7 point average. O. The Lynxes came out third in the county conference being defeated only by Bluff City, and Sullivan, twice. Their record in the county was eight wins and four losses. They lost three to Dobyns-Bennett, two in regular season play, and once in the tourna- ment. Their total record was eight wins and seven losses. This year the Lynxes will be strengthened by freshmen, and will be more experienced. They are looking forward to a successful season. 'Z' ffl!
