SIGMA PSI FRATERNITY, Alpha Chapter of Lyndon State College, is a non- exclusive social organization of young men designed for the advancement of social activities benefitting the entire college campus. Our objectives are to help the college community socially, physically, and spiritually in hopes of creating a fine fun loving learning institution. Our personal goals are to strive for social unity, trust, respect, responsibility, and understanding amongst each other. We would also like to sincerely thank our camera shy advisor and beloved friend Mr. Edmund Mello, for helping us through a very prosperous and enjoyable growth year. Accompanying this general interest in the sport of basketball is an interest in orga- nized Cheerleading. In 1978, Joanne McCormick took the initiative of this project and began the procedures in forming the Cheerleading organization. Through the help of Community Council, the Cheerleading Organization became offi- cial and was allocated initial funding to get things under way. 80 Karen Gelineau. Colleen Reagan. At the com- pletion of a year-long fund drive, a new modular-type ambulance was delivered on October 12, 1979. The squad would again like to thank the people in the eight towns that we cover, for making that dream a reali- ty. Of the 31 members of the rescue squad, nine members live at the Emergency Ser- vices Building (Dream Number 1). During the ‘79-80' year, seven members were Ver- mont Certified Emergency Medical Techni- cians, with two also being nationally cer- tified.
