PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE Another year lias passed, and we are nearing: graduation day. which makes us realize just what our responsibilities are. Like the story of Johnny Blossom, we want to be a credit to our school. Living and teaching to the best of our ability, and cooperating in the community are our greatest objectives. In one of Dr. Noble’s lectures, he stated that the teaching profession was “up front” and it is our responsibility to see that it remains in that position. We know that teaching does not just mean giving facts to children, but allowing them to see the reasons behind the facts. This makes for better citizens in the future, and we are trying to develop pupils who will be self-directed, able to get along with other people and also have the ability to get along with themselves. Living with the Great Teacher in mind will en- able us to become worthier teachers, ourselves. Ruth Jackman President, Class of ’48 Page highteen
