On behalf of the underclassmen and future students of Lyndon High, we wish to thank the people who have made it possible. ff? Jr. 1 rz C. A1 YF pd , ed' 3 S d ye The building of a successful life is like the erecting of a great building. There must be erected strong pillars, reaching to bed rock or a very solid earth far below the structure. In a human life, there should be eight pillars ce- mented in a foundation of moral consistency. They are energy, integrity, sympathy, imparti- ality, system, sincerity, and self-alliance. A life built upon these principles would be strong and enduring. These eight principles are im- portant factors in success of whatever kind. Were these principles absent, there could not be suc- cess worthy of the name in any field of human endeavor. It is my fond hope that the four years spent in L.C.H.S. that you have been equipped with these principles. My sincere good wishes go with you as you graduate and take your station in life. To our advisor we leave all our troubles because we will have many others, To the faculty we leave a five minute head start on Friday, To the Junior Class we have nothing to offer, because in their temperamental, flighty, and puffed up state they are not responsible and are, therefore, not capable of caring for any of our treasured possessions. To the Sophomore Class we leave our good looks, friendliness, and ability to get along with others. To the Freshman Class we leave our well trained ability to keep quiet when necessary, I, Jo Ann Bultema, have nothing to offer because I have so little of everything I need all for myself. Therefore, I will keep what I have. l, Lois Johnson, leave my singing ability because I don't want it, I leave my flirting ability to Bonnie Belha, should she ever need it. I, Jerry Pilgrim, leave my ability for jumping center to Jerry Scott. I, Doren Hill, leave my knack of avoiding study to Bob Evans, who has difficulty getting away from it all, I, Jack Bowen, leave, but I'll be back to get Judy, so leave her alone, Gary, I, Carla Harrison, leave my ability of getting along with the teachers to Gary Brackemeyerg he probably needs it. .O . 2' IWW I GQSJ yvI'O!0AQCy The many millions of stars in the sky are said by some folks to be prophesiers of future events or in other words, fortune tellers, If this is so, this is what those very stars are saying will happen to the people in the Lyndon High School, Class of 59, within a few years, Carla Harrison is now a renowned music instructor at Lyndon School She is known for her many trophies she has won in different contests around the world, Jack Bowen is now a successful owner of the famous Bowen's Shell Gas Stations known throughout the country and he has as his number one assistant his sweet wife, a former student of Lyndon High. JoAnn Bultema has accomplished her two wishes. She is both Doren's wife and secretary in the Business he is running. Doren and she have twin girls running around getting in trouble too, so she has her hands full. Doren Hill is now a successful Business owner, He is living, with his wife and twin girls, in California, Lois Johnson is married now and is helping her husband support their six children, She gave up her idea of marrying a millionaire, Jerry Pilgrim is the noted ovmer of the Pilgrim Enterprises. He is very happy with his wife and six children. GQSS jfsfofy Dear Diary, This is our last year in Lyndon Community High School, It is almost finished for us, and it will seem strange not to come back again next year, We entered high school in August of 1955 as green Freshmen, all enthusiastic about being in high school. All the other classes welcomed us as friends. There were ten of us altogether, and our officers were Judy Robison, Presidentg Alan Anderson, Vice President, Jerry Pilgrim, Secretary, and Jack Bowen, Treasurer, In the early part of the year, the Sophomore Class initiated us into high school and gave a party in our honor. We enjoyed the party so immensely that a few weeks later we gave a return party in their honor. Lavenia Snyder and JoAnn Bultema joined our class in March of 56. Our Sophomore year was a gala affair. We had the privilege of initiating the Freshmen that year and they, in turn, gave us a party. Our officers were JoAnn Bultema, President, Jack Bowen, Vice President, Lavenia Snyder, Secretary, and Lois Johnson, Treasurer, We lost Paul Shraeder, Alan Anderson, Allen Snyder, Judy Robinson, and Lavenia Snyder that year, In 1957 we obtained the title of upper classmen. The Junior officers were JoAnn Bultema, President, Lois Johnson, Vice President, Carla Harrison, Secretary, and Jack Bowen, Treasurer, Our float, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs , won first prize at the Homecoming that year. We put on the prom, our theme was Evening in Paris. We also put on a banquet in honor of the Seniors preceeding the prom. In this our last year, we Seniors have accomplished the financing and publication of our yearbook, The Wildcat. Carla Harrison was honored with the D,A,R, award, and JoAnn Bultema was queen at the Home- coming. Our officers were JoAnn Bultema, President, Lois Johnson, Vice Presidentg Carla Harrison, Secretary, and Jerry Pilgrim, Treasurer. We have now graduated and are prepared to take our stations in life. iii?
