He can't seem to decide betweenhis many hometown girls and Minnie. Charmboy remembered by his old friends as Larry Bailey, has recently com- pleted a tour of all WAC camps in the U.S. His only comment: They're either too young or too old. Melville Hanna, a rich bachelor farmer from Texas, has recently discovered oil on his twenty-acre farm. Latest report: He has just bought the Brooklyn Bridge. Harry Turvey, the famour rancher from north of town, has reported his method of making money sheep herding. Miss Shirley Pearson, the famous so- cialite from New YorkCity, is marrying the fabulously wealthy socialist Alan Evans of Lyndon. This makes his first wife and her seventh husband. She took her maiden name back after all previous marriages. Charles Beatty, the expert horseman, is still trying to persuade the drugstore cow- boys to ride to Lawrence in all theirfestive dress. Charles Nicolay has justbecome one of Joey Chitwoods' Helldrivers, His comment: Love to wreck them cars. Bill Persinger by relying on his good looks has all the girls swooning when he ap- pears on his fifteen-minute television show. The name of his show is Lone Bill Rides Again.' Dick Varner noted for his slow talking has just been announced the world's best news commentator by the Radio Guild Cor - poration. Rex Featherston, noted lobbyistjis in Washington, still arguing against the dam project. Latest reportis thathe stillhas his head above water. Bob Nelson, famous for his infectious giggle, has just signed a contract on the Can You Top This Giggle' program. Dorothy Lewis, well-known girl athlete, hasjust swum the English Channel. Her only comment was Baby, it's cold in there. The expert south paw, Paul Brecheisen, has just finished his 50th season with the New York Yankees. He plans to retirewhen he reaches middle age. Dale Bowers, one of the more intel- lectual students of our class , has been elect- ed President of the Bell Telephone Com - pany. He reports that business is buzzing with little Bells.
