Stewart John Stevenson About 58 years ago the first school term was opened in Johnson City in a one-room log building with about 6 students in attendance. In this volume of the Aquila we have tried to bring to you the buildings and the s tude nts who now seek their education in the buildings which make up our school today. This is in an attempt to show you a comparison of the growth which our school system has undergone due to increased population in Johnson City and to consolidation of outlying districts.
