Seated Left to Rzght Paul JaSlI1Skl Vice President, Joseph L0P1nt0 Jamce Montaltfi Pat Dufante Roena Lazaufsl CBTOIYYI Sferruzza President Mr Thomas Gash Advlsor Llnda Rinaldi Gelbel Third Row Jim Melacclo Frank Curclo Ralph WYGTS b Wll Camara Russel Belllna Eddie Tirone Richard Secretary Joseph Pegnato Treasurer Second 1ow Terry Dom Url! 1 lam 1 ino Sandra Ferro Doris Da Costa Mary Ann Valente Marilyn Perello Cfaaa .Maier On that immortal day of September 11 nineteen hundred and fifty six the class of 60 entered the portals of Lyndhurst High School Durlng the first week the Freshman Party sponsored by the Parent Teacher Association and Natlonal Honor Society was given 1n our honor The party IS st1ll v1v1d ln our memory be cause It was our first class actlvlty Not long after we found ourselves 1n the midst of posters campaign speeches, managers, and candidates who had hopes of being the first to lead our class into the future Those who had their hopes realized were Joseph Avento who served as Presl dent Bettyallce Brown as Vice President Angela Pulsinelli as Secretary and Anthony Biasucci as Treasurer Mrs John MacLean, our class sponsor started us on the way to plantlng our roots firmly in the history of the high school Nineteen hundred and fifty sexen brought with 1t the hunger pains of sixth period as we had our first taste of double sessions Upon survival we elected our sophomore ofiicers w1th the aid of Miss Marilyn Cantasano our class advisor Those elected were Jack Santulll President L1nda Rinaldi V1ce President Virginia Natlello Secretary and Nicholas Spma Treasurer These people led our class in striving to reach the goals we had set and IH con veymg the feeling of school splrit throughout the school Our Junior Year was excltlng and suspenseful with the an tlcxpation of receiving our class rings' The first proiect urder taken was the election of class officers who were Nicholas Spma President Anthony Biasucci Vice President Patricia Durante Secretary and Joseph Pegnato Treasurer These foul together with Mr Thomas Gash and the Junior Council enthusiastically planned for that breathtaking nlght of the Jumor Plom truly an Enchanted Evening' The music by the 'Vletronomes the beautiful gowns worn by the gills and the dashing grace added 22 by the boys all rovlded for a memorable evening Reigmng over this nlght was oena Lazaurs who was crowned Queen of the Prom Our class received recognition when 23 Juniors the largest number ever were inducted 1nto the Natlonal Honor Society It was truly a noteworthy occasion' Crestwood Lake was the scene of the Jumor Plcnlc on June twenty second nineteen hundred and fifty nine Will we ever for get that soggy but funfilled day' Wlth the arrlval of our Senlor year we looked ahead with spirit that we had devoted to our school would always remain deep 1n our hearts along with treasured friendships that we had shared during our hlgh school days Mr Thomas Gash guided the class as it approached 1ts final mnacle Those elected to help him were Joseph Sferruzza Presi ent Paul Jasmski Vlce President, Llnda Rlnaldl Secretary, and Joseph Pegnato Treasurer These people helped to enrich our last year with many rewarding experiences On the nights of November twentieth and twenty first the Senior Play entitled Out of the Frylng Pan was presented It was directed by Miss Krisel and was hailed as a success Sprmg and our Senior Farewell Dance were upon us It was a nlght filled wlth great fun but lt saddened our hearts to think that it was our last class dance The year rapidly drew to a close w1th our Senlor Banquet uppermost in our thoughts June twenty first proved to be a nlght that we would treasure throughout our future years It was an evening' of memories merrlment and tears Thus we said good by and wanted only a few more hours when we would don cap and gown change the tassel from left to right and terminate the history of the class of 1960 -- - Sa ,I so ' Q xv -Q , 1 'S f , . - A ' A' n ' ,V , 1 ' i' .
