We felt at a loss because of our inexperience at this Court of Education, but we gave our dances, The Winter Frolic and the Easter Frolic. With the aid of William Bernadino, Eugene Spies, Victor Thorne and Grace Assante as our defense, we came through our first year victoriously.

2, After witnessing our country's declaration of war as freshmen, our first move was to be appointed to var- ious sections of the Victory Corps, which L. H. S. had organized. Each student wore a button to symbolize his membership in the organization. Our defense, William Clark, Grace Assante, Theresa Thomas, and Marilyn Earp capably guided us through our second year. We held our Soph Hop, followed by the Sophomore Dance, and Rnu came to the completion of the afternoon session. It was now our turn to be morning students for the remaining two years--so we thought. A slight change occurred in our curricula, the scientific and classical courses were combined into the college preparatory. The greatest event of the year, however, was our Junkr Prom which we gave for the seniors. Prior to this, we had held our Penquin Polka, a very pleasant interlude. We, as juniors, experienced final examinations which were required of us for the first time in our school 11fe.We were led through this year by our capable defense at- torneys, Charles McDonnell, Bernard We1s,Henry Simonak, and Louis Frangipane.
