We Rate the '58 Ron Vander Werff, secretary: Betty Divall, treasurer, and Lee Jones, president.. THE SENIOR CLASS OF 1958 A little scared and very much excited, the Class of 58 entered their first year at LHS. As class president, Paul Hesselink very ably guided the greenhorn Freshmen through their first year. We started off our Sophomore year by electing Ron Vander Werff class president. The boys were beginning to notice that the girls existed and vice versa. Conversation centered around Who did you go out with last night? Highlighting our Junior year was our Junior-Senior Banquet. For our theme we chose Aurora Borealis. Our play was Ghost Wanted. It was enioyed by all. Tom Jobe was our class president. Three of our class were elected to Student Body offices that year. They were: Gary Vander Griend, ASB President, Rich Fullner, Vice-President, and Paul Hesselink, Treasurer. With great anticipation we entered our Senior year. For many of us it was only a prelude to college or marriage. Others were still uncertain about what the future held for them. Our Senior Play, Father Was a Housewife, was a great success. As graduation neared, excitement grew. Many memories were being left be- hind. We looked to the future hopefully and a little frightened. As we left the school for the last time many of us turned around tearfully . . . remembering . . . fi, A Willard Asslnlc Thr' f'lllIIlIl' frufha rlrrf lhw lrfrrrllfxl, F51 Club 1 2 3, 4, Baseball 3, 4 H. 45- Eand 1, 2 3 4, Chorus 2 3 Stage Cre.-. 4- Operetta 2 3' Northwest Fest-lal Band 4, State Band 4.
