As Freshmen we moved in the shadow of global war. Then civilization held its breath while Hiroshima gave mute evidence that the change had come-sudden, startling. violent. Time crossed with lightning speed into a new era, leaving ours the last high school senior class ever to say, We knew a pre-atomic way of life. With gratitude for this interim free from the obligation of military service, and with confidence that the Spirit of Change will hasten and not hinder man's advance to a more humane world, we dedicate our best on this 26th day of May, 1948.
