Foreword The annual Staff of Lynden Christian High proudly presents the ulixce-lsior . The theme which vve have chosen is: KEY TO THE PAST We wish to impress upon you that the uExcelsior is this key. We sincerely hope that it vvill open to you the door to our wonderful and memorable experiences which lie behind us. Our 1959 UExcelsior includes a vivid account of the activities of the student body, the efforts put forth by teachers, and the contributions of the parents. To all a hearty Thank You. mln books lie the key of the vvhole past: the audible voice of the past, when the body and material substance of it has altogether vanished like a dream. To this quotation vve would like to add a prayer: Teach me, my God and King In all things Thee to see, And what I do in anything To do it as for Thee. If this is our prayer as vve stand in this interim viewing the unlocked past and searching the future, then truly vve can say, EXCELSIOR - OUR GOAL IS HIGHER Z
