The Student Council ot I956-l957 teels that this year, as those previous. has been a success. Under the expert advising ot Mr. Vander Arla and Mr. Engbers, the council directed many student activities. Getting the students to lcnow each other at the Mixer was our tirst taslc. Student Body tickets were sold to help tinance various projects. A new atmosphere was given chapel with the gym dividers and the new pulpit. The students elected song and cheer leaders to aid in singing and yelling at games. The Christmas tournament was sponsored by the council again this year. A new club was organized. called the Vigil- antes. This club is to talce care ot policing the doors at games. The High School picnic was held again under the direction ot the council. Awards tor various ac- tivities were given at the end ot the school year to those who merited them. To the students ot L. C. H. S.. the council expresses its appreciation tor splendid cooperation.
