The belief in the worth and importance of the individual is fundamental fin a democratic societyj regardless of race, creed, or ability. This is one of the treasured heritages of our American society. Schools are responsible for passing this heritage on to their students. In order to import an appreciation for moral and spiritual values to the youth of the nation, it is the responsibility of school people to represent by their own example the good practices of our democratic heritege. Through this example, the finest educational situation may result. Mr. Derr Secretaries E' D' Our Photographer Ruth Swanson and June Sawatzky 7 Mr. Locy

Superintendent First of all, I want to congratulate the Senior Class of 1970 for the excellent annual that is now being produced. In reviewing this past school year, one would have to admit that it was a year of many ups and downs, but there were more ups than downs---that is how progress is made. Our school has been upgraded as we all know. Mr. Edmund C. Lee of the State Department was highly pleased with the progress that has been made at the Lynd School this year. But more needs to be done. This calls for the co-operation of us all. Students must do their part. The faculty must do their job as it should be done. The parents, too, must get into the act and promote all causes that upgrade and improve our school. So let us all start working for a better school. The lynd school may be small, but it has the potential of doing great things.
