Everybody get together try to love one another right now. You can make the mountains ring or make the angels cry. Though the bird is on the wing, and you may not know why. Some will come and some will go but we shall surely pass. When the one that left us here returns for us at last. we are but a moments sun-light fading in the grass. You hold the key to love and fear all in your trembling hand. There's just one key unlocks them both. It's there at your command. It's the only hope for humanity. Coequyt 4 H Y F-E rm D Superintendent First of all, I want to congratulate the Senior Class of 1970 for the excellent annual that is now being produced. In reviewing this past school year, one would have to admit that it was a year of many ups and downs, but there were more ups than downs---that is how progress is made. Our school has been upgraded as we all know. Mr. Edmund C. Lee of the State Department was highly pleased with the progress that has been made at the Lynd School this year. But more needs to be done. This calls for the co-operation of us all. Students must do their part. The faculty must do their job as it should be done. The parents, too, must get into the act and promote all causes that upgrade and improve our school. So let us all start working for a better school. The lynd school may be small, but it has the potential of doing great things. Mr. Trushenski Board of Education Marvin Geske, Treasurer, Eltjo Kor, Directory Robert Schrunk, Chairmang Joseph Swanson, Jr, Directorg william Trushenski, Superintendent, Fred Kleine, Director, Edward VanNeve1 6 The belief in the worth and importance of the individual is fundamental fin a democratic societyj regardless of race, creed, or ability. This is one of the treasured heritages of our American society. Schools are responsible for passing this heritage on to their students. In order to import an appreciation for moral and spiritual values to the youth of the nation, it is the responsibility of school people to represent by their own example the good practices of our democratic heritege. Through this example, the finest educational situation may result. I had my choice of going to other countries such as the cou tries in Europe or other countries in South America, but I chose the United States because it is much more advanced than other countries. I had a very difficult time getting used to the language. I could not get used to the cold weather at first. I had never seen snow before and had much fun snowmobiling. I am glad that it is spring and it is finally warming. I liked my stay here very much and would like to come back to the United States in August of 1971. Defeating Milroy, last years conference titlists, which boasted ten returning lettermen, along with sound victories over Echo and Ruthton, were the high- points of the season. Playing their last season for the Panthers and veterans of four years of competition were Duane Wilmes and Dave DeBaere. Other Seniors were Roger Ning and Rick Sanow. Transferring from Tracy and assisting greatly with his versatility was captain Rick Sanow.
