Ken has been head custodian since July of 1977 when Mr. Allen retired from that position. When asked what the greatest changes have been over the years, Ken says the new construction and renovation work just being completed represent the most significant change and that it was needed years ago. He is especially fond of the new boilers replacing the 1937 style which were much more difficult to maintain. Ken relates that he has enjoyed working with the Board and entire staff at Lyme over the years. Upon retirement, Ken hopes to pursue hobbies of carving and woodworking and he says he will be working for the Lord. He plans to take a trip to Africa for Missions work sometime in the future. The LCS Community will miss Ken and we all wish him a pleasure-filled retirement. BUS DRIVERS — Mrs. Reed, Mrs. Day. Mr. Klock. Mr. Utess. DEDICATION The will to spend time in the pursuit of one's vocation is a bit elusive for some in the teaching profession. To dedicate oneself to serving the youth of our community is not only a noble cause but also one that has long-reaching reflections for the future. None can question the resourcefulness, dedication, imagination and patience of Mr. Bilkey Moore. Imaginative Guidance Tutor Instructor Mentor Friend Earnest Counselor Devoted Teacher Keen Confidant Faithful Advisor Zealous Chaperone Enthusiastic Enterprising 10 Administrator lt is a rare occassion when one has the opportunity to influence a person's life. To expand that influence to a full Senior Class is an experience for all concerned The Class of 1987 extends its sincere appreciation to Mr. Moore for his many acts of kindness, for his leadership in all of our activities, for his being there when he was needed, for his imagination to lead us to heights where no other class at Lyme has had the opportunity to go. ii SENIORS Monica Virginia Alvarado “Monica” 9-11-69 A woman’s guess is much more accurate than a man’s certainty.” Basketball 1, 2, 3. 4; Cheerleading 1; Soft- ball 3. 4; Soccer 1. 2. 3, 4; Gymnastics 1, 2, 3,4; Vocational Fashion Design 3.4 Terry Paul Drake Terry” 3-8-68 “Put off until tomorrow what you can do today.” Baseball 1; Vocational Agriculture Mechanics 3. 4 Timothy C. ADVICE TO THE SENIORS Monica Alvarado — to open a male escort service; she has enough guys Tim Cheal — to go back to South Jeff and lose some weight (private joke) Terry Drake — to go hunting only during the weekend Robbie Dunn — to get a job so he can pay for the repair of his sister’s car Shawn Edus — to stop trying to be Spiccoli in “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” and be Enos in “Fast Times at Lyme High” Jim Hill — to leave his hand to Robyn so she’ll have something to hold while he’s gone Tracy Horton — to stay at Oswego and become the Dean Shawn Hubbard — to stay out of his dad’s cellar Marc Inghem — to stop disturbing people in study hall with his sound effects Jill Johnson — to design fashions in a poetic way Kristie Kimmis — to stop flirting with the guys at the gas station and stick with her main man Todd LaRose — to be more careful on the ice John Lear — to stop irritating Mr. Davis Deanne McCollom — to take over the “Max;” she goes there enough Kathy Orvis — to be careful with whom you make bets Barb Pecor — to paint her car bright pink, so everyone knows it’s not her passing stopped school buses Frank Pettey — to marry Tina and become a house husband Peggy Putnam — not to study so much and try to have a social life (We miss you.) Don Reed — to design album covers and really get to use his gruesome drawings Steve Schryver — to take over the American Top 40, but not to keep Bryan Adams 1 all the time Daidre Schweitzer — to quit calling the guys “boys” Larry Tefft — to open a driving school for stunt drivers and call it “Crazy Larry’s” Pennie Thompson — to sit on her hands (We happen to know she can’t talk without her hands.) Rhonda VanNess — to shave Frank (We’re talking about his shoulders.) Lynn Walker — to come to school once in awhile Dedra Weeks — to go to Maine and bring back some live lobsters for Travis Fulmer to use in “Rock Lobster” It is the year 2007 and the Class of 1987 has come together for its 20th reunion. The reunion is being held at the stone quarry which is now the site of a very ritzy bar and night club founded by that party animal himself Todd “Bundy” LaRose. Monica Alvarado arrives handing out autographed basketballs. She has become the first white female to make the Globetrotters. Terry Drake is sitting at the bar. He is the silent partner in the wine cooler company “Bartles and Drakes.” Rob Bucky” Dunn roars into the parking lot on his one and only moped. He is the fastest moped racer in America. He walks in yelling, Where’s the party?” Shawn Edus pulls in hooked on the back of John Lear’s tow truck. He was trying to race Bucky, but as you can tell, his car didn’t quite make it. Jim Hill can’t come because that brown junker of his finally decided to die and he is still in mourning. Shawn Hubbard won’t be able to make it to the reunion either, as he was captured by a tribe of Amazon Women some years back and hasn’t been heard from since. Marc Inghem has taken over the English classes for Mr. Fiske. He figures he knows all that Mr. Fiske does. Jill Johnson is signing her third romance novel; she has the number one novel in the country. The book is titled Good Old High School Days and Especially High School Nights. The book contains all of the Class of ’87. Kristie Kimmis is the biggest buyer of Jill’s novels. She has a library con- taining only romance novels. Deanne McCollum is trying to get everyone to leave Bundy's” and go to the Max,” her favorite hot spot. Steve Schryver is “DJing” for Bundy, and Kathy Orvis is trying to get him to play something different other than Bryan Adams. Barb Pecor walks in telling everyone not to go see the latest film. She has become the world's foremost movie critic and has her own show called “Pecor’s Sneak Peek. Frank Pettey arrives in an 18-foot limo. He has taken over the Playboy Corpora- tion and has a “bunny” on each arm. Peg Putnam and Tracy Horton are sorry they can’t make it. Peg is the first woman President and Tracy is her Vice President. They are busy trying to sort things out with Russia. Don Reed pulls up on a black Harley with a skull on his helmet. He is the lead singer for the heavy metal group “The Skeleton Crew.” Daidre Schweitzer is taking phone calls at the phone booth. She has taken over Doctor Ruth’s show and is in great demand for advice. Larry Tefft comes crashing through the front door in his pick-up. He swears his brakes went out, but that’s an old line. Pennie Thompson is showing some people how fast she really is. She has become the fastest sign language in- terpreter in the North Country. We all knew she would do something important with those forever- moving hands. Rhonda VanNess is now known as Mrs. Gosier. She is unable to attend because she is too busy with children and Frank’s business career, but she promises to send pictures. Lynn can’t come. He is busy at the hospital while D.J. gives him another beautiful son. Congrats, Lynn!! Last of all, Dedra Weeks shows up complaining that we’ve started without her. Sorry, Dee Dee. Well... let’s Party! CANDIDS Well... we’re waiting... Need we say more? One ringy-dingy ... or is that one dingy?” “The Dynamic Duo' Wanted by the F.B.l.
